Email support@everyonepaints.com. A person reads it, normally within a few days — sooner for anything about safety, a payment, or being locked out.
Three things make an answer faster:
- Write from the email address on your account, or tell us what it is.
- Name the group or the canvas, if it is about one.
- Say what you expected and what happened instead.
If it is about content or behaviour on a canvas, report it in the app instead — the Report action under every comment and every image reaches the same operators with the context already attached. The Content & Safety Policy says what happens next, and carries crisis lines for anyone in immediate difficulty.
How painting works
A canvas is one picture that a group repaints together. You write what you want to see and mark it as paint; when the round closes, everyone's paint is read together and the picture is repainted from it. Ideas that more different people asked for — by writing them, or by liking somebody else's comment — carry more weight than ideas one person asked for. Nobody's instruction is applied on its own, and nobody owns the result.
You can have one paint queued at a time. Until the round closes you can change your mind and replace it; browsing and reading work without an account, but painting needs one.
The picture has not changed
Usually one of these, in order of how often it is the answer:
- The round is still open. Canvases repaint on a schedule, not when you post — the countdown in the app is when the next one is due. Nothing you write is lost while it waits.
- Not enough people painted. A round needs paint from a few different people before it will repaint anything. Below that the window rolls forward, the round stays open and the paints keep waiting — a canvas nobody else has found yet will not repaint on one person's paint alone.
- A quiet canvas slows down. Some canvases stretch their interval after rounds that almost nobody joined, and come back to their normal pace when people return.
- The group has no credits. Each round is paid for before it runs. An empty bucket means no repaint — see below.
- The round ran and your idea did not land. The strongest compatible requests are the ones that get painted, and two requests that genuinely contradict each other cannot both happen. Asking again works, including for a detail an earlier round dropped.
We do not promise any particular image, or that a canvas repaints on time. Generation can fail, and a round that fails does not spend the group's credits.
Credits and payments
Rounds cost money to run, so a group pays for its own from a bucket of credits. Credits reach a bucket three ways: buy them into your own balance and give some to a group, buy them straight into the group, or be given them by us. Where the app offers a few credits for watching an ad, that is a fourth — it is not available on every platform, and the screen only shows it when it is.
- Credits you have just bought have not appeared. Nothing in the app grants credits itself — the payment processor or the store confirms the purchase and that is what grants them, so there can be a short gap. Reopen the screen and it will re-read; if they are still missing an hour later, email us with the receipt.
- Credits given to a group cannot be taken back. They are spent by the group on rounds that may already be pictures. The app says so where the choice is made.
- A round that failed refunds the group's bucket. If you can see a failed round and the credits did not come back, that is a bug — tell us.
- Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple, not by us: use reportaproblem.apple.com. For a purchase made on the web, email us.
Getting into your account
- Forgotten password. Tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen and we email a reset link.
- The verification email has not arrived. You need to open it before you can paint. Check the spam folder, then use the resend control on the notice in the app. Some mail providers take a few minutes.
- No access to that email address any more. Write to us from whatever address you can, tell us the handle on the account, and we will work out whether we can help — sometimes the honest answer is that we cannot prove it is yours.
- Your account is read-only. A suspended account can read but not write. The reason is in the message, and Content & Safety covers appeals.
Your profile, and what other people see
Your display name, your picture and the accounts you have blocked are all under Profile, behind your picture in the top corner. Blocking hides everything an account writes, everywhere, straight away, and is reversible from the same screen. Notifications are the device's own setting — if you turned them down, the system settings for Everyone Paints are where they come back.
Deleting your account
In the app, at the bottom of Profile. If you have already uninstalled it, or cannot sign in, Delete your account has the steps and the email route, and says exactly what is removed and what stays.
Copyright, trademark, and legal requests
Rights holders should use the procedure on the DMCA & Designated Agent page rather than this address — a notice sent through it reaches the same place with the statutory parts already asked for. Law enforcement requests are covered on Content & Safety.
